Have you ever thought to yourself …once I have more free time, a healthier body, peace in all my relationships, more abundance, spiritual enlightenment, a well deserved vacation etc…then my fulfillment will be enhanced?
It’s great to have dreams and goals, yet true fulfillment always goes hand in hand with self-esteem. They walk together side by side. If we focus only on building our dreams without also building self-esteem, the fulfillment we reach will be missing something. 50% practice on dreams and 50% practice on self-esteem is very productive.
The best self-esteem – dream building practices I have found are these two simple actions:
1) Each night write out a brief list of your goals and a brief list of things about yourself that make you feel successful.
If better health is a major goal, write a brief list focused on the health you already have, even if it is just your right thumb that looks and feels healthy. Focus on it and go to sleep with that positive healthy feeling in your heart.
If your goal is having your own business or a better position at work, write down what you are very good at in your current position.
If you have a goal for youthfulness, write about something youthful and beautiful you notice about your body already.
If you want happier relationships, write about the best aspects of the relationships you already have, etc.
2) Each morning re-read your list of self-esteem statements and goals, and begin the day with a powerful feeling of self-confidence, and excitement !
